The Power of Early Microscopic Detection

Your skin is your body's largest organ, continuously exposed to solar radiation, environmental pollutants, and oxidative stress. Melanoma accounts for only about 1% of skin cancers, but it causes the vast majority of skin cancer deaths.

The good news? When detected in its earliest, intra-epidermal stage (Melanoma in Situ), the 5-year survival rate is virtually 99%.

What is Digital Dermoscopy Mole Mapping?

Traditional skin checks relied on the naked human eye or a small magnifying lens. Subtle pigmentary network variations were impossible to track objectively across years.

At AuraMed, we utilize automated total-body digital dermoscopy:

Polarized Sub-Surface Illumination: Illuminates subsurface melanocytic structures down to the dermo-epidermal junction without painful biopsies.
Microscopic 70x Zoom: Analyzes pigment network asymmetry, atypical pseudopods, and peripheral blue-white veiling.
Longitudinal Digital Archiving: When you return next year, software overlays new scans over previous images, instantly flagging even a 0.2mm shift in diameter or border irregularity.

The Essential ABCDE Rule for Home Awareness

Between your annual clinical examinations, examine your skin once a month under bright lighting:

A – Asymmetry: One half does not match the other.
B – Border: Edges are notched, scalloped, or blurred.
C – Color: Inconsistent shades of brown, black, pink, or white.
D – Diameter: Larger than a pencil eraser (6mm), though early melanomas can be smaller.
E – Evolving: The most critical sign: any change in size, shape, color, or new elevation.
